3) Holiday camp
Modern children rarely have much space for free play and time to cultivate their own interests. In addition, living under the shade of their parents also meant that their daily life is scheduled and prepared for them , resulting in the loss of their independence and ability to take care of themselves. As a solution, Yen Childcare Centre would set a theme every year that allows children to learn valuable knowledge that was not learnt in the school curriculum. We have also carefully planned a set of materials to teach through the process of games, as well as a series of fun life activities that train the children's independent skills. We hope that through the games, we can develop the child's learning ability and relieve the stress of the children.
Here are the benefits of attending a holiday camp:
1) Teachers will uncover the children's learning ability and efficiency through a series of games and competitions.
2) Life skills: Life is an essential aspect of education. Life skills are vital for success in life. By developing the children's life skills (e.g: cooking, organizing your own housekeeping, group life norms, interpersonal relationships, survival adaptation) Ability, nature exploration. . . . ) it can help improve the child's self-confidence and independent ability.
3) New Year Program: Malay, China, English, Mathematics and Science. (School syllabus for the first semester of the new academic year.)
4) Educational Travel: It can help widen the children's general knowledge and broaden their horizons.
5) Trilingual writing class: This can help strengthen the children's writing skills and creativity.
6) Group activities: morning exercises, singing tours, handicrafts, painting, cooking, scientific experiments, team competitions, etc.
现代的孩子时常为了学业、排山倒海的功课，根本就没有太多自由玩乐的空间及培养自己兴趣的时间；再加上活在父母的荫护下，日常生活都被安排妥当，使到他们失去了独立自主的能力。因此，本中心每年都会设定一个主题，并让孩子从该主题学到学校没法学到的宝贵知识。我们也精心策划了一套透过游戏中学习的教材、一系列训练孩子们独立自主的生活教育技能及刺激好玩的趣味游戏活动。我们期望通过游戏，可以展开孩子的学习力，并舒展孩子的压力。透过假期营，孩子们能够从各种活动中培养生活自理能力。
以下是参加假期营的各种好处：
1）教师们将通过一系列的游戏和多元比赛，激发孩子的学习情绪和效率。
2）生活技能 ：生活就是教育。生活技能是生命的感受、通过增加生活技能
的磨练，如：做饭、整理自己的内务、团体生活规范、人际关系、生存适应
能力、大自然探索等等，来提高孩子的独立自主能力。
3）新学年课程 ：国、华、英、数和科学。
